Snoop Security has reported a vulnerability in CandyPress Store, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to the "msg" parameter in admin/logon.asp is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerability is reported in version 4.1. Other versions may also be affected.

NOTE: The vendor disputes that the vulnerability exists in version 4.1.

Solution
The vendor has reportedly issued patches for the 3.x branch.
