Description:
Simon Logic has reported some vulnerabilities in AMX Mod X, which can potentially be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise an application using the plugin.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to the "geoip_code2()" and "geoip_code3()" functions incorrectly handling country lookup errors. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow with a zero byte.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.76d. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 1.8.0.

The vendor recommends the usage of the "geoip_code2_ex()" and "geoip_code3_ex()" functions in order to avoid the buffer overflow.
