Beschreibung:
Simon Logic hat einige Sicherheitslücken in AMX Mod X gemeldet, die böswillige Personen potenziell ausnutzen können, um einen DoS (Denial of Service) zu verursachen oder ein Anwendung zu kompromittieren, welche dieses Plugin verwendet.

Die Sicherheitslücken werden verursacht, da die Funktionen "geoip_code2()" und "geoip_code3()" Fehler beim "Lookup" von Ländern inkorrekt verarbeiten. Dies kann ausgenutzt werden, um einen Pufferüberlauf mit einem Null-Byte zu verursachen.

Die Sicherheitslücken sind in Version 1.76d gemeldet. Andere Versionen können ebenfalls betroffen sein.

Lösung:
Aktualisieren Sie auf Version 1.8.0.

Der Hersteller empfiehlt die Benutzung der Funktionen"geoip_code2_ex()" und "geoip_code3_ex()", um den Pufferüberlauf zu umgehen.
