Description:
fabiodds has reported a vulnerability in Nagios Plugins, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "check_snmp" plugin when processing SNMP GET replies. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted SNMP GET reply.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 1.4.10.
