| CVE reference: | CVE-2007-5933 CVE-2007-6010
|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Pioneers, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
1) A vulnerability is caused due to a session object being deleted while still in use. This can be exploited to crash the Pioneers server by sending specially crafted data.
2) An error within the "route_event()" function in common/state.c can be exploited to trigger an assert error, resulting in a DoS.
Solution: Fixed in the SVN repository.
Provided and/or discovered by: Bas Wijnen. Gentoo also credits Roland Clobus.
Changelog: 2007-11-14: Added CVE reference.
2007-11-30: Updated advisory with information about vulnerability #2.
