Beskrivelse:
h07 har fundet en sårbarhed i Apple QuickTime, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at kompromittere en brugers system.

Sårbarheden skyldes en ikke-kontrolleret buffer under håndteringen af RTSP-besvarelser og kan udnyttes til at forårsage et stack-baseret buffer overflow via en specielt udformet RTSP-besvarelse med en lang "Content-Type" header (mere end 255 bytes).

Succesfuld udnyttelse muliggør eksekvering af vilkårlig kode, når en bruger åbner en ondsindet QTL-fil eller besøger et ondsindet website.

Sårbarheden er bekræftet i version 7.3, men andre versioner kan også være berørte.
