Description:
j00ru has reported a vulnerability in Gadu-Gadu, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of "emots.txt" entries. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into installing a specially crafted set of emoticons containing a specially crafted "emots.txt" file with overly long filename entries.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 7.7 build 3669. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 7.7 build 3725.
