Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Squid, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service). The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of cache update replies and can be exploited to crash an affected server. The vulnerability is reported in Squid 2.x versions prior to 2.6.STABLE18. Solution: Update to version 2.6.STABLE18 or apply patches: http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v2/2.6/changesets/11780.patch http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v2/2.6/changesets/11882.patch Provided and/or discovered by: Reported by the vendor.
