Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Squid, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of cache update replies and can be exploited to crash an affected server.

The vulnerability is reported in Squid 2.x versions prior to 2.6.STABLE18.

Solution:
Update to version 2.6.STABLE18 or apply patches:
