Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in HTTP File Server, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when handling file upload requests to a certain directory. This can be exploited to upload malicious files to arbitrary parent directories via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation requires upload access to the initial directory.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 2.2b.
