Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell NetMail, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow error within the AntiVirus agent (avirus.exe) and can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet sent to the service.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in NetMail 3.5.2 prior to update 3.52f.
