Description:
Paul Kurczaba has discovered a vulnerability in Novell iPrint Client, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the Novell iPrint Control ActiveX control (ienipp.ocx) when handling the "ExecuteRequest()" method. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by passing an overly long (greater than 256 bytes) argument to the affected method.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in versions 4.26 and 4.32. Other versions may also be affected.
