Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in BadBlue, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information, cause a DoS (Denial of Service), bypass certain security restrictions, and compromise a vulnerable system.

1) A boundary error exists within the handling of "PassThru" commands in ext.dll. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long URI.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

2) An error exists within the upload.dll file when processing upload requests. This can be exploited to overwrite arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.

3) An error exists within the processing of HTTP GET requests for inexistent folders. This can be exploited to disclose the full path of the webserver via requests containing the "?&browse=" parameter.

4) An error exists while servicing HTTP requests for executable files. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary files placed inside the webroot (e.g. uninst.exe) and e.g. consume large amounts of memory.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2.72b. Other versions may also be affected.
