CVE-2007-6489
CVE-2007-6490

Description:
MhZ91 has reported some vulnerabilities in Falcon Series One, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion and cross-site request forgery attacks and to compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "dir[classes]" parameter in sitemap.xml.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local and external resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

2) Input passed to the "gb_mail", "gb_name", and "gb_text" parameters in index.php (when "guestbook" is set to "v" is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious guestbook entry is viewed.

3) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can be exploited to e.g. change the administrator's password when a logged-in administrator is enticed to browse a malicious web page.

The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.4.3. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified and sanitised. Do not browse untrusted web sites while being logged on to the application.
