Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP-UX, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in sw_rpc_agent_init() within swagentd and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by passing specially crafted arguments to the affected function.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

NOTE: The vendor's advisory states that other HP-UX applications running DCE are also affected in which the vulnerability can be exploited to cause a DoS.

The vulnerability affects HP-UX B.11.11 and B.11.23.
