Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in Netembryo, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the "Url_init()" function in utils/url.c. This can be exploited to crash an application using the library via a URL containing a "/:" sequence.
The vulnerability is reported in version 0.0.4. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: The vendor will reportedly fix the vulnerability in the next version. Do not use the vulnerable function to process untrusted input.
