CVE-2007-6670

Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in PHCDownload, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "string" parameter in search.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user and before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site or to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) Input passed to the "hash" parameter in admin/index.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.1.0. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
