Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell ZENworks Endpoint Security Management, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The problem is that the STEngine service attempts to locate and execute a command shell located in a certain directory with insecure permissions when generating a diagnostic report. This can be exploited to e.g. execute a command shell with SYSTEM privileges by placing "cmd.exe" in the affected directory.

The vulnerability is reported in version 3.5. Other versions may also be affected.
