Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in FreeBSD, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or to potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an off-by-one error within the "inet_network()" function. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted argument passed to the affected function.

The vulnerability affects FreeBSD 6.2.

Solution:
Update FreeBSD or apply patches.
