Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Persits Software XUpload, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

1) Boundary errors exists in the Persits.XUpload.2 ActiveX control (XUpload.ocx) when processing arguments passed to the "AddFile()" method. This can be exploited to cause stack-based buffer overflows by passing specially crafted, overly-long strings as argument to the affected method.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

These vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.0.0.4 and 2.1.0.1. Other versions may also be affected.

2) A vulnerability is caused due to the Persits.XUpload.2 ActiveX control ("XUpload.ocx") providing the insecure "MakeHttpRequest()" method. This can be exploited to download and store arbitrary files in arbitrary locations by tricking a user into visiting a malicious website.

This vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.0.0.3. Other versions may also be affected.
