Beschreibung: Eine Sicherheitslücke in Microsoft Windows wurde gemeldet, die böswillige lokale Benutzer und böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um einen DoS (Denial of Service) zu verursachen.
Die Sicherheitslücke besteht aufgrund eines Fehlers bei der Überprüfung von Eingaben in "Active Directory" und "Active Directory Application Mode" (ADAM) bei der Verwaltung von LDAP-Anfragen (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). Dieser kann ausgenutzt werden, um mit einer speziell präparierten LDAP-Anfrage das System anzuhalten und einen automatischen Neustart zu verursachen.
Eine erfolgreiche Ausnutzung unter Windows Server 2003 oder auf Systemen mit ADAM setzt einen gültigen Benutzerzugang voraus.
