Description:
Iron has discovered a vulnerability in Journalness, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "last_module" parameter in includes/database/adodb-perf-module.inc.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a call to "eval()". This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary PHP code via a specially crafted parameter value.

This is related to:
SA26928

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled, which is not the recommended setting in the application's installer.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 4.1. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
