Description:
Luigi Auriemma has discovered a vulnerability in webcamXP, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or to disclose potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the webcamXP internal HTTP server when processing parameters passed to the "pocketpc" and "show_gallery_pic" files. This can be exploited to block the user interface and disclose pseudo arbitrary areas of memory via overly large "camnum" or "id" parameters.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.72.440. Other versions may also be affected.
