Marcin Kopec has discovered some vulnerabilities in OSSIM, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks, and by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "dest" parameter in session/login.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "portname" parameter in port/modifyportform.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

NOTE: Other scripts may also be affected by similar vulnerabilities.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 0.9.9rc5. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Reportedly fixed in version 0.9.9p1 and OSSIM Installer 1.0.4.
