Description:
Elazar Broad has discovered a vulnerability in Move Media Player, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the Quantum Streaming IE Player ActiveX control when handling arguments passed to the "UploadLogs()" method. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted, overly long "url" argument passed to the affected method.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in qsp2ie07076007.dll version 7.7.6.7 and reported in qsp2ie07074039.dll version 7.7.4.39. Other versions may also be affected.
