Beschreibung:
Einige Sicherheitslücken wurden in Wireshark gemeldet, die böswillige Personen ausnutzen können, um einen DoS (Denial of Service) zu verursachen.

Die Sicherheitslücken werden durch Fehler in den Dissectors für SCTP, SNMP und TFTP verursacht. Diese können ausgenutzt werden, um die Anwendung zum Absturz zu bringen oder große Mengen an Speicher zu belegen, falls speziell präparierte Pakete verarbeitet werden, die entweder mitgeschnitten oder durch eine Capture-Datei geladen wurden.

Die Sicherheitslücken sind in Versionen vor 0.99.8 gemeldet.
