Description: Luigi Auriemma has reported some vulnerabilities in Borland VisiBroker, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
1) An integer overflow error in Smart Agent (osagent.exe) can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted packet sent to default port 14000/UDP.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
2) An input validation in Smart Agent can be exploited to cause the process to terminate via a specially crafted packet sent to default port 14000/UDP.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 8.00.00.C1.03. Other versions may also be affected.
