Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in SynCE vdccm, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and compromise a vulnerable system.
1) An error can be exploited to cause a DoS via certain unspecified vectors.
2) The vdccm daemon does not properly sanitise the names of connecting devices before using them to call external commands. This can be exploited to e.g. execute arbitrary shell commands with the privileges of the vdccm daemon by connecting and sending a specially crafted device name containing shell meta characters.
Solution: Update to version 0.10.1.
