Description: Henri Lindberg has reported a vulnerability in Check Point VPN-1 UTM Edge, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "user" parameter in the login page is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of the web interface of the device.
The vulnerability is reported in Check Point VPN-1 Edge with Embedded NGX version 7.0.48x. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to firmware version 7.5.48.
