Description: Tobias Klein has reported some vulnerabilities in Panda products, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or gain escalated privileges.
Input validation errors in the cpoint.sys driver when handling certain IOCTL requests (e.g. 0xba002848) can be exploited to overwrite arbitrary memory and execute code with kernel privileges via specially crafted IOCTL requests.
The vulnerabilities affect the following products:
* Panda Internet Security 2008
* Panda Antivirus + Firewall 2008
