Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in VMware Server, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges or to cause a DoS (Denial of Service), and potentially by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions or to cause a DoS.

1) An unspecified error in "authd" can be exploited to gain escalated privileges by causing the "authd" process to connect to a named pipe that is opened and controlled by a malicious, local user.

2) An unspecified error when handling insecurely created named pipe objects can be exploited to gain escalated privileges or to cause a DoS.

3) Two vulnerabilities are caused due to insecure file permissions on the "config.ini" file, which can be exploited to e.g. gain escalated privileges.

4) Some vulnerabilities in OpenSSL can potentially be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions or to cause a DoS.
