Description: Kingcope has reported a vulnerability in Solaris, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in "rpc.metad" within the processing of rpc requests. This can be exploited to crash the daemon.
The vulnerability is reported in Solaris 9 and 10 and Solstice DiskSuite 4.2.1 for Solaris 8.
