Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell eDirectory, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the libnldap library and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a large LDAP delRequest message.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability affects the following versions on Solaris, Windows 2000/2003, AIX, HP, and Linux systems:
* Novell eDirectory 8.8.1 and prior
* Novell eDirectory 8.7.3.9 and prior
