Description:
Chris Porter has reported a vulnerability in snircd, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when processing arguments in the "send_user_mode" function and can be exploited to crash the daemon via a specially crafted "/mode" command.

The vulnerability is reported in 1.3.4. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to the latest version.
