Description: shinnai has discovered some vulnerabilities in LEADTOOLS Multimedia, which can be exploited by malicious people to overwrite arbitrary files.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to the ltmmCaptureCtrl Class, ltmmConvertCtrl Class, and ltmmPlayCtrl Class ActiveX controls (ltmm15.dll) including the insecure "SaveSettingsToFile()" method. These can be exploited to overwrite and corrupt arbitrary files in the system in the context of the currently logged-on user.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in LEADTOOLS Multimedia 15 including ltmm15.dll version 15.1.0.17. Other versions may also be affected.
