Description: BL4CK has reported a vulnerability in the WP-Download plugin for WordPress, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "dl_id" parameter in wp-download.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation allows e.g. retrieving usernames and password hashes, but requires knowledge of the database table prefix.
The vulnerability is reported in version 1.2. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.2.1.
Provided and/or discovered by: BL4CK
Changelog: 2008-04-11: Added CVE reference.
