Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Zomplog, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and to bypass certain security restrictions.
1) Input passed to the "catname" parameter in admin/category.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that the target user has valid administrator credentials.
2) The problem is that access to the install/newuser.php script is not properly restricted. This can be exploited to add an administrator account to the application.
NOTE: The vulnerability can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code by editing or adding pages.
3) Input passed to the "login" parameter in login.php and "search" in index.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 3.8.2. Other versions may also be affected.
