Description:
BiNgZa has discovered some vulnerabilities in BIGACE Web CMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information and to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "GLOBALS[_BIGACE][DIR][addon]" parameter in addon/smarty/plugins/function.captcha.php and system/classes/sql/AdoDBConnection.php, and "GLOBALS[_BIGACE][DIR][admin]" parameter in system/admin/plugins/menu/menuTree/plugin.php, system/application/util/item_information.php, and system/application/util/jstree.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled, which is not the recommended setting in the installer.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.4. Other versions may also be affected.
