Mark Crowther has reported a vulnerability in Barracuda Spam Firewall, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "email" parameter in cgi-bin/ldap_test.cgi is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability is reported in Barracuda Spam Firewall 600 with firmware version 3.5.11.020. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to firmware version 3.5.11.025 (2008-05-16).
