Description: unohope has reported two vulnerabilities in phpFix, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "kind" parameter in fix/browse.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows e.g. retrieving administrator usernames and passwords.
2) Input passed to the "account" parameter in auth/00_pass.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 2. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Provided and/or discovered by: unohope
Changelog: 2008-06-04: Added CVE reference.
