Description:
Will Dormann has reported some vulnerabilities in NCTAudioEditor, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors in the NCTAudioGrabber2 (NCTAudioGrabber2.dll) ActiveX control when handling certain properties or methods (e.g. "cddbServerAddress", "cddbAgentName", "cddbUserEmail", and "cddbCGIScript"). These can be exploited to cause heap-based or stack-based buffer overflows when a user is tricked into visiting a malicious website.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

Some of the vulnerabilities are confirmed in NCTAudioGrabber2.dll version 2.3.6.120 and 2.4.1.126. Other versions may also be affected.
