Description:
securfrog has discovered a vulnerability in freeSSHd, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing of SFTP commands. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an SFTP command requesting a directory with an overly long name.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code, but requires that the attacker has SFTP access to the server.

Solution:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
