Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring Software, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing of authentication requests. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted encoded authentication request.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in version 4.5 Service Pack 1.
