Description

Some vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM DB2, where some have unknown impact and others can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges and by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or compromise a vulnerable system.

1) An unspecified vulnerability exists in CLR stored procedure deployment from IBM database add-ins for Visual Studio.

This vulnerability is reported in DB2 version 9.1.

2) A boundary error in "SQLRLAKA()" can potentially be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow.

3) An unspecified error related to file creation in the admin server can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain root privileges.

This vulnerability is reported in DB2 version 9.1.

4) Boundary errors in XQUERY, XMLQUERY, XMLEXISTS, and XMLTABLE can potentially be exploited to cause e.g. stack-based buffer overflows.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

5) An unspecified vulnerability exists in the "db2ls" command on the Unix and Linux platforms. No further information is currently available.

6) Multiple unspecified errors in the implementation of the "RECOVERJAR" and "REMOVE_JAR" procedures can be exploited to cause a crash.
