Description:
CWH Underground has discovered a vulnerability in IPTBB, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to the "email" parameter in index.php (when "act" is set to "usercp" and "p" to "email") is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation allows e.g. escalating a user's privileges to administrator, but requires valid user credentials and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 0.5.6. Other versions may also be affected.
