Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell eDirectory, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Input passed to certain unspecified parameters within the iMonitor interface is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user in an error message. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerability affects the following versions:
* Novell eDirectory 8.8.2 and prior for Solaris, Linux, Windows 2000/2003
* Novell eDirectory 8.7.3.9 and prior for Solaris, Linux, Windows 2000/2003

Solution:
Apply fixes.

Novell eDirectory 8.8.x:
Update to version 8.8.2 and apply eDir 8.8.2 ftf2.

Novell eDirectory 8.7.x:
Update to eDir 8.7.3 sp10.
