Description: Tan Chew Keong has reported a vulnerability in UltraEdit, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the FTP/SFTP browser when downloading directories containing files with directory traversal specifiers in the filename. This can be exploited to download files to an arbitrary location on a user's system.
Successful exploitation requires that the user is tricked into connecting and downloading a directory from a malicious FTP server.
The vulnerability is reported in version 14.00b. Other versions may also be affected.
