Description:
CWH Underground has discovered some vulnerabilities in ContentNow, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

1) The cn/upload.php script fails to validate the extensions of uploaded files. This can be exploited to upload files with arbitrary extensions (e.g. ".php") and execute arbitrary PHP code on the server.

2) Input passed via the URL to upload/file/language_menu.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.41. Other versions may also be affected.
