Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in the WEC Discussion Forum (wec_discussion) extension for TYPO3, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks or compromise a vulnerable system.
1) An input validation error when processing certain file types can be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
2) Input passed to unspecified parameters is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.6.2 and prior.
