Description:
Deniz Cevik has reported some vulnerabilities and a security issue in MRO Maximo, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose system information and conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Input passed via various HTTP headers (e.g. "Accept", "Accept-Language", "UA-CPU", "Accept-Encoding", "User-Agent", "Cookie") to jsp/common/system/debug.jsp is not properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) The publicly available jsp/common/system/debug.jsp script discloses various system information such as installed OS type/version and full installation path of application.

The vulnerabilities and security issue are reported in version 4.1 and 5.2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Restrict access to the jsp/common/system/debug.jsp script.
